[Fixed] Journal - flatten a tile not being marked as complete

I have an unpremium alt on Guidance.   Tried to do the journal entries.  One of them under First Steps is to "flatten a tile".  When doing so, it doesn't check off.  When I asked on guidance chat, 4 other new players said they were not able to do so either.  Had Nahimana on one of her guidance alts try it and she wasn't able to either.

 

Tried on deed, off deed, working with leveling, flattening, and on both tiles as well as on tile borders.

Same applies to me. On Guidance, I'd heard alot of complaints from players unable to complete the Journal step on Guidance due to being unable to flatten a tile (as they couldn't join a deed on Guidance as well due to its nature).

I've still not been able to flatten a tile there myself.

We're aware of this and a couple other issues with the new Flatten and Level actions, which will be fixed.

I didn't even think about that at the time, but my alt on Xanadu didn't get that either.  Huh...now I gotta find another tile when it's fixed.

Just posting here to update.

 

The failure of correctly flattening not being accepted in the Journal as completed has been documented today as still happening and recreatable by staff.

Whatever fixes were intended apparently still didn't enable the Journal to recognize that a successful flattening occured, even when the tile was indeed successfully flattened.

 

Hopefully this will give the developers what they need to work a fix to the issue that's affected players working on completing the Journal tasks.
