And as I don't want anyone to panic now, I'll give you a quick overview of myself so you know who you're dealing with. Here is my dating general profile: 25 years old, male (He/Him), from Germany Wurm player since 2012 (I started on Deliverance, spent most of my time on Epic though) Former Game Master for War Thunder & Crossout Wurm Unlimited modder Background in software & video game development Weird sense of humor Prefers cats over dogs My real name is Hannes (which sounds like "Hans" in english ?) If you are good at math, you probably just noticed that I was very young when I started playing the game. Only 13 years old to be exact. Wurm Online played an important role in my teenage years and always accompanied me while I was growing up. That's why this position means a lot to me. Officially, I am the link between you and the Wurm Online team, but personally, I think that the Community Manager for such a special game needs to be more than that. So from now on, I am not only here to keep you updated on everything about the game, it's development and the latest events, but also to listen to your feedback or possible concerns you might have. Posted September 20, 2023 What's holding up the updates to the new website? It came with a lot of promises back when it was introduced, but very much underdelivered on them. Posted September 20, 2023 (edited) With the promised updates darklords released. Are all those projects canceled or on hiatus or currently being worked on? Spell gems, mediation, goblin camps. Posted September 20, 2023 It's about time we got a new person in the role, congratulations! I'm going to jump right into some of the tough questions that I know the community is dying to know. I sent in a massive, multi page document about the position the game currently is in with its social media presence and utility to the relevant staff. And while you've told us about yourself, there's nothing about any actual plans to make a change and make the game look presentable and up to snuff with the rest of the industry. What is your plan for game presence across platforms like; Twitter, FB, Youtube, Twitch? What do you think about VEN and the idea of bringing it back as officially supported content? What is the current plan with Instagram and why has that been prioritized ahead of other platforms to roll out short form content? I appreciate you've just gotten into the role but the community has been left without proper communication and assurance in the direction of the game so insights on what your plans are in general beyond those specifics would be very much appreciated. But as a primary epic player how much do you even know about the community which is 99.5% on SFI/NFI. The fact you have 4 posts since 2020, makes me question if you have even been keeping up with the community. I personally feel a community manager should be a visionary person to expand wurm exposure. Someone who is an active member of the community who can relate the community concerns to wurm team. He can be that middle person, essentially a bridge between this community and staff team. Not saying you won’t do good, but from active member of the community point of view. I fail how to see how suited you are for this role that we been desperately needing a new person in (no offense to last one ). As previously mentioned what’s your plan for this new role of yours. Such as creating topics that relate any news like a newsletter or holding contests, games..etc. Also since you have a background with the pvp side of wurm, will you be pushing for more pvp additions from behind the scenes? Exactly my point, you been semi active and incognito. Which means you really haven’t been part of the community. Epic is a dead cluster for over 5 years. Are you actually aware of the current situation because to be honest, majority of the staff team isn’t or at least doesn’t seem to be. Enlighten us then. It’s not about being better than previous Community managers.
