Posted May 17, 2023 Hello, When walking on a wooden plank floor in my house, the sound is that of the grass or stone slab below, even on the second storey, which sounds weird . Posted May 18, 2023 This has been bothering me for a while now! By the looks (sound) of it, "walking on something" samples are being played based off the material the tile is made of, not the floor at all. I have always have been paving the tiles under the floor with the corresponding material so it sounds consistent Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Posted June 17, 2023 Yeah, i normally play with the sound set very low, just loud enough to catch the sound of something attacking me I was watching a Valiance stream VoD on Youtube awhile back and he mentioned this phenomenon of the footsteps sounding like what the tile is rather than what flooring is used, so I checked it and yep, that's the sound. I'm not ripping up all of my floors to pave the tiles underneath, but all new builds will have that.
