Tools of trade QoL

One of the best features of this game is afk trading via npc's, but honestly that system can be a lot better than it is now.
Some of the things that needs to be addressed are:

- ability to sell food, beverage and ingredients
- ability to put containers into merchants inventory to organize sales: cannot have an armor set inside a backpack or a book with paper inside, wrong!
- since we can arrange character inventory, we should be able to arrange merchants inventory with categories
- let us decide what the merchants should wear, personalization may be important to show players what the merchant sells, same for stalls style: make them show items placed on it
- there is no point for some items to not be sellable through merchants at this point, since no RL money trading is allowed: sleep powders and other such items should be free to sell

Helping economy, especially by selling and using consumable items, helps a LOT the game, since ppl need to buy coins to buy stuff, and this is good for the game.

On the listed points

1. Yes this is something we have wanted for a loooooong time and suggested before and in the past long ago was said no because it allowed the storage of food at a time where the only way to keep food safe was a lmc which was expensive to get your hands on and that was a silver sink for a reason but now with the fact that lmc's are easy to get(2 per year almost from prem time alone) and we have larders the whole idea of using a personal merchant for free food storage should be dropped and this should become a thing
2. This used to be a thing and then when personal merchants started to mail the items to the player upon no one visiting them for x amount of days and all items being put in a backpack some cleaver people found out how to make fountain backpacks and so on and a lot of abuse started to happen so the feature was disabled because what you could do is, Place full inventory of containers into a personal merchant, wait x days for it to disappear, check mail, collect backpack now full of containers, fill new containers with whatever you want for example large barrels with water 100 of them inside 1 backpack or something like that
3. the group system for inventories is a weird system with a lot of bugs and shenanigans but I do agree a system that allows us to create categories in the merchant window would be amazing for grouping and honestly it just needs a new ui vs the old trade window system it is now
4. Dressing the npc to show armor would on 1 side be fun but the other side be quite a bit of work to make the model render armor properly with all the other merchant gear it has on but if its part of a stall then ya displaying the items for sale visually on the stall's displays would be a nice feature.
5. Again we just need a new ui for the personal merchants away from the trade window(as that is what it is) towards an actual proper shop

Problem becomes people using merchants for storage and not actual selling.

it's not a problem at all, since we can just have infinite alts that do the same thing for free.

Food takes damage in inventories. It would not on a merchant.

That's the only instance in wich this will make any difference, but as someone else pointed at, we now have larders for food wich makes almost the same, and easier access to large and small magical chests, and i bet it won't be hard to make some workaround so after a certain time the food decays all at once if left on merchant...
I think it's a minor abuse in respect of what we can do atm, but food is just one part tho, we may do whitout it.

food also takes damage when on merchants as well, although, it would be nice if it didnt because then it would make having a food vendor a great possibility for events or just to sell food

I'd love it if we all had more market transparency and the ability to search market for an item (maybe range based on cartography skill)

You write a recherche formsheet (special ingame mail) , send it via mail system to "Global Market Intelligence" and depending on your skills a mail will return with all vendors with the item of intrest listed with their aproximate position (quadrant) and their pricing ...

I know seems like a bummer for the established markets but in the end it's not. Because their reputation was build by good prices and permanent restocking ... they will be the top vendors im my proposal as well.
