Large planters taking damage on deed

Recommended Posts

Confirmed on two different deeds with several months of upkeep on both. Planters on one are used regularly, not used on the other. In both cases the planters are taking a large amount of decay/damage. Is this intended?

For clarity this is the large wooden planter boxes for farming.

This is interesting - and weird! I have a large wooden planter on my deed (for ages) and it never took any damage:

[10:54:50] A large planter suitable for growing crops. Ql: 26.6113, Dam: 0.0.

Mine is on Deliverance - could this be a NFI thing? 🤔

I have about 120 planters underground on Melody, some have taken slight damage (3%-10%) and some have not taken any damage.  These planters are used regularly and are about 1 year old.  Deed has plenty of upkeep.

Thanks for the heads up, had no idea planters took damage on deed!

Thanks for the heads up!

On Melody. 30 large planters about 2 years old.  Damage ranges from Zero to 60s.

All but 5 underground. Those have damage from 0 to 20, mostly 6 to 18.

Move 5 to the surface within the last few months. One of those had 40+ and another had 60+.

I also notice that my large planters have some damage, probably 8ish months i've had them on deed, used them twice. Some made by me, some looted from other places. All around 40-50ql, between 1.6-4dmg on the ones i checked.

This is on pristine, where the kite flies, over 30days of upkeep. If you want to look, 5th floor of the main building.

yep-I was going to put them on all my crop tiles till I noticed they were taking damage. Decided they were too much trouble, stopped at a 100 or so.

I have noticed that my large planters only seem to take damage if the crop turns to weeds.

This is one of the issues I brought up in my report a while back.

There are other issues like GoldFo rune not working for farming on these and is apparently intended behavior for some reason, according to a reply.

As someone who has over 3k of these, I can say that they're not really an upgrade to farming as much as you'd want to believe.

My 16 large planters on Independence server, deed Forest Glade Farm - all had between 8 and 12 damage to them. Just now repaired all of them will now monitor see when they take damage next.

Deed upkeep is well over 90 says for this deed.

Wow - glad you posted this.

Just checked, a lot of mine on indy as well, only 2 to 6 dmg on 101 of 345 of them.  Fortunately they repair very quickly.  If this was a deliberate change a warning would have been appreciated.

Many thanks Seriphina!!
