Sacrificing Val Items and not getting deed buff

I have attempted to get to 10 second window from 8 seconds. i sacrificed 5 different val items on 2 different toons and nothing was added to that timer. i expected my deed to get a larger rare window and it did not happen after 5 separate val items.

Were they members of the deed? Did they have full favor?

favor shouldn't matter, these are mission items not normal favor item;

I assume your chars weren't part of your deed, bonus goes to the deed of which they are part of, if none.. then wasted.. doesn't matter where you sacrifice them(on/offdeed), it only matters if you are member of a village on the server where you sacrifice them
