Being able to select meditation title from previously earned meditation tier

I have the explorer title from path of knowledge, and while I want to continue on the path of knowledge, I feel bummed I will no longer be able to select the explorer title.

 

I'd love to be able to select previous meditation path titles I have earned.

I think I know why the meditation titles work the way they do now, but I see no reason that earning that title through meditation couldn't unlock a persistent vanity title.
