Question about scales' weight

Recommended Posts

Not sure where to post this but will leave this here:

Scales are valuable by weight yet the numbers seem to round up and show values which are not accurate.  If, for example, a scale weighs 0.025 it might show 0.03

Three of these showing 0.03 (actually perhaps only weighing 0.025 each) would weigh actually 0.075 but show 0.08.  The current price for scale is 70c for 0.01 so if someone bought these three pieces, they would pay 6 silver 30 copper for the three pieces (2 silver ten each).  Yet,  when looking at the total weight of 0.08 they should have paid only 5 silver 60 copper (or even less if the scales only weigh 0.075 instead of 0.08)

TL:DR:  Scales don't add up to what they seem to be.  How do we see the true weight?  Thanks in advance.

For the new linking feature, if you hold alt while hovering the linked item it will fully display the weight and you can tell in that way if it is underweight. You can request the seller to link the item using the alt key into the conversation as prices are discussed, and you can yourself be sure to link the item for transparency.

holding alt to see actual QL and weight are old, from before the linking feature, it's just knowledge with this one, whenever you need exact QL or weight, use the hold Alt and point over the item to check it's information
