Any info on how Empyrian iron compares to other metals/aloys/moonmetals? Can it be used to make aloys? Empyrian steel, maybe?

Its a dull black when used for weapons. otherwise unsure if it has any special traits like steel versus glimmersteel. Dont know if such even coded in on test as the holy site testing is ongoing.

 

Nothing official has been said about planned stats.

 

Speaking of, test is out of holy sites again on Oracle pve. Alts praying on altars show zero sites.

The only thing I've found so far is that it is +2% dr (a bit less than steel at 2.5%), that number is obvious. No noticable difference on swing timer or action timers. Doesn't push past material ql.

 

I haven't done enough testing for weapon damage or creation ql to draw a conclusion, but there could be something there.

Totally missed this. Please don't do this. 300 favour is a good set amount, and requires linking. This is just extra waffle to make you check spell listening and if it's not cast often and the favour requirement goes below 300, you'd be reducing the chance of people reaching out to folks who need the rite cast for their journal. Even if it's kept 300 minimum, it's just extra annoyance to wrangle more people. On paper it makes sense but all the god priests are numerous enough to make 300 favour work well.

 

Also why give Libila a big CR buff when hostile monsters aren't hostile to them in the holy site lol

This is not reducing the cost to physically cast the spell, was worded bad there is an internal tracking of a deities total favor(gained from things like praying off cooldown for your god) and when it hits a certain amount it unlocks the ability to cast it. That is just making it so smaller servers get them unlocked at about the same rate larger ones do.

Can we feed people to Lib's holy site? :)

 

I know it can be exploited by running alts at it but i just want to be able to feed other people to the Lib holy site :)

 

L.E. You make it so that depending on the faith of the guy being sacrificed their deity's buff intertwine with the lib's buff but with a 75% cap.

 

So if we sacrifice a Vyn follower at 20 faith we get the lib holy site buff + vyn holy site buff at 20% str but if we sac a 60 faith fo priest we get lib holy site buff + fo holy site buff @60% and so on except if we sac a priest of 75+ faith the buff will never be able to get over 75%.

 

Also once sacrificed the toon in question will only be able to have the appearance of a yellow potion available transformation and be unable to ride mounts or ships or vehicles for like an irl week.

 

And the way to decide who is eligible for sacrifice is to give them an Abductable debuff if they have typed on that toon for the last 3 irl months the following words: Hey! Let  me give you a tour of my deed! :)

  • The base favor needed by a deity in order for players to cast a ritual spell has been lowered significantly.
  • Any casts of a ritual within the past 8 months will increase the favor needed by the deity to cast the ritual again.
  • The more recent the casting of a ritual, the more favor it will add to the amount required.

Isn't this change already a thing? How is it different?

It was not properly enabled at the time of that patch which we found out recently so it will be properly enabled with holy sites this time.

I don't think this is hatered towards PvP in particular, but the "balance" we get in PvE as a result.  In essence, you cannot balance something equally for PvP and PvE - both have different goals and support different playstyles.  Something convenient for PvE would break PvP and a lot of PvP balance destroys QoL in PvE.

 

A split for PvP and PvE where PvP gets special spell effects would be nice, or something that impacts existing PvP mechanics that won't carry over to PvE.

In terms of balance, it feels a little like Fo has gotten the short end of the stick here.  Most players can easily cook up something that fills their food bars, and create long lasting affinity foods that TARGET a skill they want.

 

With the change to harvesting, the wishing tree isn't really giving anything except a shortcut to creating higher complexity meals (which is only really useful when metagaming for affinity meals).

-Might be nice to throw in the odd magical fruit (something that when eaten gives a Fo buff spell)

-Throw in an ingredient that drastically slows down food decay on anything it is added to for making travel foods (since most people visiting holy sites will be travellers)

 

The sampo is likewise a bit of a letdown and heavily RNG based (given that people are travelling to these sites, the probability of getting an affinity they cannot use is also quite high).

-Focusing on the karma rewards might be a better option, or giving players some agency on choosing affinity.

That crash was with graphics preset 'minimum'. Thought I'd try again with a even more minimal graphic settings, and I manage to log in. Doing a compare there are a number of differences, but probably the significant on is in the working version `glsl_enabled` is set to `0`. But, without GLSL, the game is missing so much, and the rendering of animals gets really strange and spikey.

So, getting severely punished for having my alts at holy site. This makes no sense, as i need them to sermon. Just 11 of us at the celebration libila holy site and it just lost 5 power and took 11 corruption in one pulse. Why are you actively discouraging using the holy sites? Is your intention to have only 3 or 4 people per site so as to not incur the huge penalties?
