Better, more modern chat

Recommended Posts

It's been 20 years or so since first emoji's and and better late than never. Can we please have Emoji's in chat.

Also the option to color text with like CSS, BB code, or something similar.

Bring Wurm chat to the 2020's level of tech. :P .

(even if it was strictly PM's, alliance, or village locked)

+1

As long as the option for us "older gen" folks that don't want eggplants, poop piles, and thumbs up in chat are allowed to disable the display, sure why not.

+1 so polar can stop complaining about it already.

Nah for real though I would love to see some update to it.

-1 For it being a waste of time, bits, and CPU cycles just to render poop emoji images.

Perhaps a better font that has more glyphs like the old font(so people can spam UTF-8 emojis again) would be more useful.

Weird hill to die on but okay?

+1 i want to be able to blanket out everyone's chat with a giant image of a sausage by bugging out chat to include a bit of code that forces the client to draw a webpage that displays the sausage image at 5000x5000

This would certainly put an end to the people asking "why is that person's chat a different colour?"

Please no eggplants and dook in the trade chat.

+ 1 for village, alliance, and local.
