Road work (D-20-ish) heading north from the top of the mountain.

The highway has been diverted (slightly) while roadwork is being completed heading down from the guard tower at the top of the mountain to the north.

 

The new road (which may include bridges) will replace the 20 slope highway in that area. Bridges may not go until all the local terraforming is decided on.  

 

The highway system is not interrupted and anyone wanting to find deeds for the new exploration can still find their way.

 

The detour is only 4 or 5 tiles.

The highway is reconnected.  Much work to be done around it to make it look better, but the main focus was getting the highway reconnected (and bringing the underlying rock layer down (which is what took the most time, of course ) to lower my deed adjacent to this area).  There will be one more bridge put in, but the disconnect should be less than a few hours to dig the dirt/build the bridge.  There is still a small detour of the highway (5 tiles at the most) that will stay in place until it is all done.

The above link to where the 3rd bridge will go in.  Flat pottery.  Lights and stuff will be added as well as some other features.
