Posted September 8, 2022 Suggest add to larder wurmpedia page (https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Larder) : Food stored in larders for extended periods may be subject to instantaneous decay when removed from the larder. This effect will not be predictable and there is no way to avoid this 100% 'crumbles to dust' effect at present. Suggest never removing older food from larder. If you must remove it (like when u want to 'take a portion' from it) , get it back into that larder as soon as possible to try to limit the chance of this effect. iaw GM post: This has been an on going issue for years. Maybe if people got the word on this effect, then maybe some of them can avoid the surprise that their food crumbled to dust on them.
