this is assuming that the first rite is whatever the person affected is already worshipping. If the person is not in the religion for the first rite, they would have to immediately swap to receive the SB gain. they could still get the SB from the second rite within the seven day period but they will not receive the third if it is cast within the first week.

What if we can just get the sleep bonus from any rite, no matter who you follow?

Do Rite spells exist to grant players sleep bonus, or does sleep bonus exist as an incentive to practice religion? The answer to this question should direct the solution, I believe.

To put all this lengthy discussion into perspective, here an overview about the frequency of global spells in Wurm:

 

 

As one can see, there are more global spells on NFI, but not so much more, not really astonishing taking in account the higher population density. Also, there is not so much evidence for a widespread global spell syncronization for faith swaps. Some opportunities for that could have been taken though. Also not astonishing that Vyn and Fo are less popular on PvP servers :).
