Posted May 23, 2022 https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Fish#Fish Fish can be categorized with different modifiers, by weight: small large huge impressive stupendous After fishing for 3 days ( deep sea fishing reel ) Catfish catches ( 721 ) are as follows Small - 310 Normal - 320 Large - 12 ( 52 Nibbles with jumped the line or reeled in then lost ) Huge - 20 ( nibble and then auto jumped line ) Impressive - 7 ( nibble then auto jumped line ) Stupendous - 0 Qualities on these varied. Small some was below 20ql to 60ql, Normal was anywhere from 6 to 59, Large have gotten 65ql to 89ql with 1 coming in at 91.72ql. Huge was anywhere from 82ql to 92ql. Impressive where all around 86 to 89ql. This variable, Small, Normal, Large, appears to give more weight to the difficulty of the fish you are trying to catch rather than a category for weights as seen by some being labeled Huge but having a QL that was caught under the Impressive QL's. Fishing reel, hooks and lines as well as the bait all remained the constant same ql ( give or take .5 damage due to being in tackle box during the time spent fishing ) More testing might be needed for this ( variable types of fish, different reel types as well as locations )
Posted May 23, 2022 (edited) From memory (I've done a lot of fishing) I believe the categories start at 65ql (large), 75ql (impressive), 85ql (huge), 95ql (massive) and 99ql (stupendous). I think you might have the order wrong. I think Impressive is always lower ql than Huge. I'll have to run some tests to confirm. Posted May 23, 2022 (edited) My results after an hour's fishing, size and QLs: large 69, 70, 66 small 13, 14, 10 impressive 82, 76, 77, 76, 76 huge 89, 85, 88 massive 97 I had some 19ql fish that were not "small", so I guess the cut-off is 15.
