The transparent clickable area exists for event and chat windows.

 

80% is smallest for GUI scale?  The client won't let me go any smaller.

I know this makes sense from an implementation perspective, but defaulting to a T pose looks like a bug. With animations disabled I would expect a game to default to a generic standing pose and then just not move anything.

ive made a minor discovery - there is mention of a 'timeout' command for console(check the IRC wiki for info) that isn't in either the new or old UI. I know there are several people who use IRC, and possibly the ingame client as well, so i am wondering if this was just oversight or w/e.
this is what happens in both new and old UI when the command is part of your autorun.txt:unknown.png

also of mild concern is that very first unknown command...i dont have ANYTHING like that in my autorun.txt:

I want to participate in the treasure hunting, and since it won't work on the old GUI I loaded up the live one. The GUI takes up so much real estate on the screen that I can't really play, because half the screen is just GUI elements. It's making me realize just how difficult the game'll be to play once the old GUI is removed. I don't want to be a pain, but I'm really bummed out right now

so the official answer for people who use the old ui is to either accept we must now play with a horribly distorted toolbelt and compass(thats what happens when you do what budda suggested) and still have search bars filling half the screen space, or quit.

If scaling down the UI % is making compass and toolbelt too small, try toggling the size of each to their larger version  - that should stop any distortion.

There is a new option to disable the filter bars.

ok now that i can do it without the filters im actually using the new ui and it looks like the text scaling doesnt affect the friends tab for some reason. it does affect the size of text on event and skills tabs but not friends.

 

it also doesnt affect the titles of chat windows but im not sure if its supposed to.

The tooltip thing, that shows up when you hover over items in your inventory, I would like an option to turn that off. I would prefer to have to examine every item in my invy to see the enchants and stuff. I was told I could use the old client to not have that happen, but alas that was not the case.... so I'm asking here, please give us the option to toggle that on and off.

the skilltracker moves after every restart, maybe this is because i want it to be very close to other ui elemenents? usually the toolbelt.

 

setting player animations to "walk only" seems to be bugged the same way "none" used to be, it shows all animations not just the players and mobs walking animations.

 

the chat and event windows dont move close enough to the bottom if the window, so there is always a small annoying gap between the windows and the bottom of the window if you place them at the bottom.

Have you set it to bottom left anchor? I've found it won't stay put when using bottom left anchor, but top left works.

In your "gamesettings.txt" look for the line

 

show_detailed_hover=true

 

and change it to

 

show_detailed_hover=false

i crashed tonight now i cannot log back in, i have verified files via steam and i had apparently dropped some . now i just load the small wurm box and poof its crashes

as a footnote i cant check the server status 506 bad gateway error
