My snowman murdered that child while the others looked on. Children are so selfish.

Also: someone find out how to make christmas trees.

OK, I owe you guys a few patch updates, but I'm just going to list things together.

[12-20-09] [We are now at revision r196]

* All previous snow and snow covered items have been updated with tweaked textures from Kinoss.

* New snow touched items: Cobblestone, Wood planks, Packed dirt, Dirt, Farm/Field, Gravel, Moss, Peat, and Slab.

* Steppe is now snow covered, steppe sprite points to transparent image for winter.

* All players are now required to use the bathroom, or die.*

* Winter "GrasSprite" has been changed to a transparent image.

* Added x-mass tree model. (This does not replace any current tree, it is stand alone)

* Crops now look like plants!

* Crops now have a visuial for each stage of growth.

Of course the major change is the Crops. Dashiva and I were lead to the crops when we did the changes to the terrain. This left the crop in a very dark state. After poking around a bit, we noticed that this feature was a bit more fleshed out than had been previously used. We spent most of Saturday polishing off and fixing some bugs (Bugs that must have lead someone in the past to use that nondescript crop texture). Anyway, once we discovered all the features, and fixed the errors, I went ahead and modeled, rendered and created the texture you see now so that each stage of a crops life now has a unique look. Currently however, it is one crop for all. I do have personal goals in the future to make all drops 3D, but this will do until that time, and is also part of the reason I didn't make an image for every crop type. The new textures does make it a little hard to see from the side, and a side affect (HA!) of that is visuial determination of if it needs a raking or not, this is all known, and we are thinking about solutions. however we feel that having crops look like pants, is worth this small annoyance to some, and we can always improve it later. Consider this "Crops 1.5".  8)

the graphics look good for the snow, didnt get a chance to look at any crops.

Now to go hunting for a Christmas Tree!

Regarding the side effect of the improved crops side effect...  :P

Tich's Tooltip suggestion should work for now to show if crops need farming or not.

You've done so much work already, I hate to ask but here goes...

Would love to see snow on wooden fences and all building roofs.

Maybe Icicles although I'm pretty sure that may be asking too much due to the random variety needed on them.

Minor Suggestion to dev. team (easy fix)

Change "build snowman" to

"Build Snowman"

or

"Build snowman"

Just getting the right capitalization in the drop down menu is all. Nothing major just purely aesthetic.

EDIT:

Oh, and real nice job on the themed modeling and items :)

I am locking this down. No more additions of x-mass stuff. At least, for now. After all next week is x-mass.
