This looks like one of those puzzle twisters:

 

The bison is on the bridge. The bridge is connected to two buildings. Both buildings are tall and the bridge is connected to higher floors. Each floor is accessible by a ladder. Bisons don't climb ladders.

 

HOW DID HE DO IT?

Spawned there?  Perhaps this is possible if the bridge isn't entirely on deeded land.

nope it was all deeded  was quite the puzzler but fortunately i was able to lead him off the tower to the ground

animals spawn on bridges on deed, it seems like they set spawn points, i had 2 bridges which constantly had sheep, bovine and horses spawning on them, nowhere near the edge of the deed.

Out of 30+ bridges parallel to one another, 2 would always have some stranded animals on them, always the same 2 bridges too.

I came back to my old deed a couple years ago to find a scorpion on my 2nd flr balcony. no bridges on that building, all ground floor doors were locked. Should've left him alone, but I was young and naive and could still be killed by scorpions, so I had the guards deal with it.
