Posted January 24, 2022 Would be nice to have a stone substitute for all existing interior stairs types. I guess, just rework of the textures would be needed? Also maybe exterior stairs, that could be planned the same way as bridges, but without requirement of gap beneath, so could be planned not only outside of buildings but also on the hillsides.
Posted January 24, 2022 Yes, stairs need a major overhaul. External, better rails, more material choices - lots of improvements possible.
Posted January 24, 2022 +1 , especially for external stairs. So far the only option being ramps (bridges), this would in my opinion add a whole different feel to our homes. Coziness too!
Posted January 25, 2022 I've wanted this for ages! 😀
Posted January 26, 2022 +1 as long as we can get left/right sided doors to match up with the left/right facing stairs. Still need railing and banisters as a fence type too so I don’t fall off tops of stairs. Asked for years.
Posted January 30, 2022 I think you've hit the nail on the head. Stairs need to be a modified form of bridge. Bridges have a minimum ground clearance underneath and a maximum slope. Stairs should be the exact opposite.
Posted January 31, 2022 As long as stairs don't inherit the non-stackability of bridges. Stairs need to share the "vertical column" (i.e. the tile they are on/over) with all sorts of stuff.
