Posted October 26, 2021 (edited) After doing some research on food troughs / animal behavior we discovered there is a maximum field size that an Animal will be considered penned. Could not find any details regarding this on any of the wiki pages that it would relate to (feeding Trough / Animal Husbandry) Probably worth adding the following: Quote To eat from a trough an animal needs to show the penned creature status The maximum size of an enclosure is 30 tiles. When examining a Creature you will get the following Text lines: [12:53:40] This creature is penned, and will search the enclosure for food. [12:53:40] This creature is eating out of the feeding trough. If the trough is empty, you will get the following message instead: [12:53:40] This creature has no food in the feeding trough.
