Client crashes on game load on linux

Hi all,

 

I recently installed wurm on my laptop which is running arch linux. Wurm is installed via the AUR, however I've had this issue when I download the tar.gz launcher manually from the official site.

Install goes fine, however once I launch the game I am greeted by the loading screen and loading commences, but as soon as it finishes the client crashes. I have the log below, the game crashes on line 626. It is a null pointer exception, and I cannot ferret out what might be causing it based on the log.

 

My graphics driver is up to date. I am currently using the modesetting driver, but I have also tried with the xf86-video-intel driver as well. Any advice will be helpful.

As a workaround you can try disabling Ambient Occlusion (Post-Process tab) in the launcher settings before starting the client, then things should be fine.

It does not play nice with the Mesa driver on at least some cards currently.
