Posted September 2, 2021 When the character is in third person view and has a bow selected, the character can select Bow > Shoot Target. However, no matter the angle that the person is looking at the target, it says [10:58:52] You must turn towards a mature huge spider in order to shoot it. Going into first person is a workaround, but I really like 3rd person mode.
Posted September 2, 2021 3rd is known to not properly change the direction you're facing when it comes to fighting. If you're fighting something, go to 1st so you don't accidentally give flanking bonus, can use archery, etc.
Posted September 2, 2021 yeah, same for shield blocking.. in 3rd person it really never blocks unless you zoom in to 1st person and out to correct your positioning/facing direction. Bugged like that ever since they implemented 3rd person view.
Posted September 2, 2021 Same with using pendulums to find champs, traitors, or battle camps. Using keybinds to switch views is very helpful. Right before I fight mobs, I switch to 1st person, position myself within proper distance, then switch back to 3rd. Keybinds make it fast.
Posted September 2, 2021 3rd Person View does not know which way you are facing ( I'm not sure why ) so anything you do that requires you to face a specific direction will fail.
