Quick Healing

Allow us to heal players by activating a healing item (salve, cover, cotton, etc.) and right click on the player and selecting Heal. It can automatically start healing the must severe of the wounds and then will work down the list to the least severe wounds. Having to look at the players equipment, then expand to see all the wounds can take quite a bit of time in combat and this would be a faster and easier to use system.

Does the idea also include self-healing option?

This would be useful for new players, but the effectiveness of such treatment could be slightly lower or amount of bandages/potions used by automatic healing would be greater than current way of healing wounds.

Would be too easy - not wurm style. If they add this they would have to quadruple heal resistance 'buff' just in case it would be too OP..

That can easily be done. Have it so if you right click your body in the character menu, then click heal.

I do not think this would benefit the idea. No one would use it, if it took more materials then normal.

What do you mean too OP? I was told that a priest can right click a player and cast the spell to heal directly on the player. Without actually having to see the wound. Would this not be the same concept, but with cotton instead of favor?

correct, but can only do that once lmao. Then the player has maxed out 20 minutes heal resistance 🤣

Wurm's current healing system is really good for healing yourself, but really bad for healing others; this would make things a bit more usable and a bit more inline with other rpgs.

 

Maybe give 2 actions with cotton:

 

First Aid (randomly applies cotton to a wound - Unlocks at 30 first aid)

Triage (applies cotton to the most grevious wound - Unlocks at 60 first aid)

 

and 1 action with healing covers:

 

Treat (applies the cover to the most potent wound that it will heal - Unlocks at 70 first aid)

+1 This is long overdue. I've wanted a more efficient way as a non-priest to heal others for years.

An even better idea! This would make it so in a combat scenario (like when a gm spawns a bunch of hostiles at a impalong), you can use this to quick save another players life. Would be a good reward for someone who has worked to grind First Aid. This would also be a lot more balanced for both PVE and PVP.
