Donkey Pannier Baskets

Recommended Posts

These are needed to carry foraging items back to the village, such as kelp from the beach, or herbs, fruit and nuts from the valleys, even kindling wood.

The panniers could be made out of a combination of cloth, or willow and/or reeds.

These could decay slowly with use and would need reeds to improve using thatching (weaving) skill.

They could be an adaptation of the existing saddlebags item.

The donkeys 'carry more' trait (or similar) could enable heavier loads.

This is a great addition. However, I would love to see the donkey or mule be able to be hitched to a small cart to be lead. It does not need to be ridden, but leading would make it better for new players to carry logs, shards, etc.

There needs to be a leadable donkey 'vehicle' mechanic, because tamed, equipped pets attract too much aggro from wildlife for newbies. Thus, panniers look great, but how long would the donkey survive if it has to be tame in order to access these panniers? However, if the panniers were 'hitched' to the donkey, it would become the equivalent of a small cart.

Actually, yeah. Make panniered donkeys 'draggable'. ;)
