There will be 2 posts from me today, the normal babies list and another speed test. My baby Wingcactus with the rare speed trait is now a young adult, so I thought I'd test his speed. For the record, his traits are:

[13:52:47] It has fleeter movement than normal. It has lightning movement. It seems accustomed to water. It looks unusually strong and healthy. It has a certain spark in its eyes. It looks stationary. It is unbelievably fast. It has been bred in captivity.

ie he's a bad 3 speed without the rare speed trait. His colour is black silver. I'm comparing him to another young bad 3 speed of mine, a male appaloosa called Cloudebony. His traits are:

[13:55:50] It has fleeter movement than normal. It has lightning movement. It seems accustomed to water. It seems more friendly. It looks stationary. It has been bred in captivity.

First I'll test them without gear. I'm carrying a total of 48.68kgs. On a flat paved road Wingcactus went from 25.14kph to 29.53kph. On the same road, Cloudebony (who I had to tame to add gear etc) went from 18.73kph to 23.16kph.

Now the same trip with gear. I took this off one of my riding horses at random. The gear consists of a bridle, an 80ql dyed saddle with saddlesacks and 91woa, 4 90ql shoes with woa 100, 101, 100, 106. This time Wingcactus went from 32.40kph to 37.46kph, although before the official test I saw him do 39kph on a slightly longer distance. Cloudebony went from 27.34kph to 33.92kph.

This makes Wingcactus roughly equivalent to a 4 speed with good gear. I shall repeat the tests as he grows up to see what effect that has on his speed. And of course breed him lots!

Did they change breeding again?  I have been gone for about a month and my ebony horses were making appaloosa foals but now they are giving me straight up grey foals.

There's still a random colour chance. But from my experience so far it's been a little bit more consistent with horse colour getting inherited to foals from parents.

70AH bred after the patch with tweeks. all these including the black sheep match at least 1 parent color wise so far. I assume this is just favorable luck pvp side of things still have a bit of random colors( at least some random needs to be necessary ) Personally I am grateful for the colors matching so far.

first I think showing this sheep is important. the avoids the speed/draft traits seems to be working as intended on them. But this is only the first of 4 pairs. Output didnt roll on but it at least removed the speed traits.

horses so far:

Woot for the dom traits not rolling off on these. I dont own Dashravens mother xD I hope her disease gets taken care of. Also my 1 of 2 Draft born failed to roll on Strong legs lol poor thing. but I got a couple more pairs to go wish me luck.

def looks like I need at least 10 more skill in AH to get to 80 to get all the draft traits comfortably since at least 1 misc likes to show up regularly. ( I find this fine personally we wanted AH skill to be meaningful). But it is still consistently 5 under my cap.

I've finally had a 4 speed mule grow up! Young Henry is ready for his first speed test. His traits are:

[21:59:01] It has fleeter movement than normal. It has lightning movement. It has very strong leg muscles. It seems accustomed to water. It looks unusually strong and healthy. It has a certain spark in its eyes. It seems to be a graceful eater. It has been bred in captivity.

All tests will be conducted on a flat paved road. I'm carrying a total of 46.73kgs including equipped gear. First we'll try without gear. On this test we went from 16.54kph to 23.12kph.

Now with gear from one of my riding horses. Henry is wearing a bridle, an 80ql saddle with woa 86 and saddle sacks, and 90ql shoes with 94, 92, 95 and 90 woa. This time we went from 25.85 kph to 30.88kph. Perfectly respectable!

everything so far color matches which while good for me there should be at least 1 that doesn't at this point from rng xD but I was one of the loudest voices on getting a better inherit rate so I don't want to sound like a hypocrite. but my previous inherit rate was like 1 in 5 so I am not sorry.

The combat trait on the one 4 speed is Easier to Tame I image the combat traits being in the pool are so the HH and unicorns still have access to easier to tame and the trait that makes them not hostile for the HH.

I got a better result on this lamb vs the last one,  got output as well as stripping out the non output traits.

I am so much happier with the results now. I still am 5 points short but I can live with it and just level AH to offset it. Also I feel I can risk leveling AH to shoot for some of the misc traits I want without loosing the dom category. is the under 5 point cap annoying and frustrating? Yes! but its work around-able I can live with it.

I am still seeing 4 trait animals pop out 3 trait animals and I feel its a good thing as it is atm we need some variance. My only gripe is when it does it and ends up 10-20 points under my AH cap but its livable to me. now that I am not loosing the dominate category to combat/output/misc.

^ my opinions I def dont speak for everyone.
