Please kill it, alternatively.. I could create nfi character and kill it myself provided you allow it and it's not already dead, don't let this to exist and suffer any longer

I can finally provide some numbers on that. Adolescent 4 draft bison on a mostly empty ql 75 cart hit just above 20kmh and 16 kmh when the cart is full. I think I had similar results with 3 draft bison on a ql 50 wagon, about 18 kmh there.

Eek, that's about where I was with the old bison.

I got this poor soul today LOL

I think (but I'm not certain) that Sadhappy was born just before the update. These are her traits:

[20:33:02] It has fleeter movement than normal. It has lightning movement. It can carry more than average. It has very strong leg muscles. It seems accustomed to water. It has been bred in captivity.

I think I've had mixed speed and draft, but not many. I'll have to check, and I'll edit them into this post if I find any.

Got 2 more babies now! Another donkey and another foal. The donkey will be a breeder with his draft trait, and the foal is my 3rd for the sales pen!

Lampwick, male grey donkey.

[20:34:11] It has a certain spark in its eyes. It seems more friendly. It is easy on its gear. It has a slow metabolism. It has been bred in captivity.

Parents: Piccolo, male grey donkey, 1 draft. Guinevere, female wild donkey, grey.

Ragehaste, male ebony.

[20:34:41] It has fleeter movement than normal. It has lightning movement. It has very strong leg muscles. It seems accustomed to water. It seems more friendly. It has a slow metabolism. It looks stationary. It has been bred in captivity.

Parents: Starkcopper, male blood bay, 4 sp, 1 draft. Stronghop, female black silver, 5sp.

EDIT

I do indeed have some speed and draft horses born recently! The first is Northland, a male chestnut. He was born on the 8th of this month. His traits are:

[21:16:51] It has fleeter movement than normal. It has a strong body. It can carry more than average. It seems to be a graceful eater. It is easy on its gear. It looks stationary. It has been bred in captivity.

The second is Hardmaster, a male blood bay born on the 6th.

[21:19:57] It has fleeter movement than normal. It has a strong body. It can carry more than average. It has a certain spark in its eyes. It seems more friendly. It seems to pick stuff up. It is easy on its gear. It has been bred in captivity.

And lastly a female mule, Brave, born on the 1st.

[21:21:19] It has fleeter movement than normal. It can carry more than average. It seems to be a graceful eater. It is easy on its gear. It has been bred in captivity.

It's interesting that they all have the 'easy on gear' and 'fleeter movement' traits. Maybe they're more likely to turn up with other traits? The are also all draft dominant animals with only 1 speed trait. They're not related genetically.

Another 4 foals! A mixture of good and bad.  Huntingmax is going to be a breeder and Annahalt will go in the sales pen, as despite only having 3 speed traits she only lacks the 'accustomed to water' trait so will be as good as a 4 speed in most circumstances. The other Heartsimeon and Ebonybone will also go in the sales pen, for newer players or those wanting some lower quality breeding stock.

Heartsimeon, female ebony.

[13:23:59] It has fleeter movement than normal. It has very strong leg muscles. It looks unusually strong and healthy. It seems more friendly. It seems to pick stuff up. It seems to be a graceful eater. It has been bred in captivity.

Parents: Clipnorth, male black silver, 4sp, graceful, more friendly, picks stuff up. Paintheart, female gold buckskin, 2sp, 1 draft.

Huntingmax, male appaloosa.

[13:26:46] It has fleeter movement than normal. It has lightning movement. It has very strong leg muscles. It seems accustomed to water. It looks unusually strong and healthy. It has a certain spark in its eyes. It seems to pick stuff up. It has been bred in captivity.

Huntingibn, male gold buckskin, 5sp, sparky, fierce. Warriorchaser, female gold buckskin, 5sp.

Annahalt, female appaloosa.

[13:27:57] It has fleeter movement than normal. It has lightning movement. It has very strong leg muscles. It looks unusually strong and healthy. It has a certain spark in its eyes. It seems more friendly. It looks stationary. It has been bred in captivity.

Parents: Ragsbrisk, male appaloosa, 4sp, seems stationary. Aishablood, female chestnut, 3sp, heathy, graceful.

Ebonybone, female skewbald.

[13:30:47] It has fleeter movement than normal. It has very strong leg muscles. It has a slow metabolism. It has been bred in captivity.

Parents: Bouncergrey, male skewbald, 5sp. Hopcoffee, female skewbald, 5sp.

Another speed test post! I finally have two draft dominant horses old enough to pull my cart. I'll compare them to my mules.

The horses are young Cainetari and adolescent Fionnbharr (previously Seaally). Cainetari's traits are:

[21:05:38] It has a strong body. It can carry more than average. It has strong legs. It seems to be a graceful eater. It has a slow metabolism. It seems vibrant. It has been bred in captivity.

She's wearing 90ql shoes all with 91 woa. Her saddle is 43ql with 46 woa.

Fionn's are:

[21:06:00] It has a strong body. It can carry more than average. It looks unusually strong and healthy. It seems more friendly. It seems to pick stuff up. It has strong legs. It has a slow metabolism. It has been bred in captivity.

He's wearing 90ql shoes with 106, 96, 100 and 93 woa.

They both have 3 draft traits, but as one of Fionn's doesn't affect his pulling ability, he's effectively a 2 draft horse. I currently have 163.3 of misc stuff in my cart, and my inventory weighs 40.12kgs. We went from 19.41kph to 22.36kph on the flat road by my deed.

I put the same stuff on my mules, young Brave and mature Alfie. Brave's traits are:

[21:21:17] It has fleeter movement than normal. It can carry more than average. It seems to be a graceful eater. It is easy on its gear. It has been bred in captivity.

Alfie's traits are:

[21:21:42] It has fleeter movement than normal. It has been bred in captivity.

They have one draft trait between them. On the same road we went 21.53kph to 21.64kph. However I should note that I've seen them do up to 22.36kph in worse gear on separate occasions. Maybe they weren't feeling it today! So 5 draft traits between 2 horses was about the same as 1 draft trait between 2 mules. On pulling ability alone mules are winning. However with the horses we get more colour variety, and with draft traits they're CHONKY.

So today I realised I'm an idiot! Somehow I didn't record Dastardly in my notes until today, and upon doing so I realised his draft trait is rare!

[12:11:46] It looks unusually strong and healthy. It has a certain spark in its eyes. It seems stronger than normal. It seems to be a graceful eater. It looks stationary. It has been bred in captivity.

He's going to have a lot of babies! Hopefully he'll be able to pass that trait on to at least some of them, and I can have some nice draft mules.

And onto today's babies, 6 foals. I'm keeping Jawpure and Fighterdance for breeding, the others are going in the sales/grooming pens. 4 out of 6 are good!

Another post from me (seriously, I post too much!) with another speed test. This time I'm comparing new 4 speeds with 3 drafts, and seeing how they compare on the cart.

My cart is 11ql and has a 5% increase speed rune. Its contents weigh a combined 1,823.01kgs, made up of crates and miscellaneous items. All the gear they're wearing is my regular riding horse gear.

The first two horses are adolescent Webster and adolescent Ragsbrisk. They both have 4 speed traits. Webster is wearing a 50ql saddle with 90ql shoes with 96, 98, 98, 98 woa. Ragsbrisk is wearing a 72ql saddle with 70 woa, and 90ql shoes with 94, 92, 95, 90 woa.

They went from 15.78kph to 15.88kph, mostly at about 15.86kph.

The second two are draft horses, both with the 3 common draft traits that affect their pulling ability, ie they lack the 'easy on gear' trait and the rare traits.  They are adolescent Fionnbharr and adolescent Cainetari. Fionnbharr is wearing a 67ql saddle with 32 woa, and 90ql shoes with 103, 96, 100, 96 botd. Cainetari is wearing Ragsbrisk's gear.

This time we went from 17.92kph to 19.41kph, mostly at about 18.07kph.

This is a difference of 2-4kph between the groups.

Now compare that to my mule team of mature Alfie who has 1 speed trait, and adolescent Brave who has 2 draft traits, one being 'easy on gear'. They are just wearing bridles and shoes. The shoes are all 90ql with woas of 90, 90, 91, 92, 90, 90, 90, and 91.

On the same flat paved circuit we went from 21.57kph to 21.65kph! Again a difference of 2-4kph, but 6kph faster than the pure speed horses.

All in all it's slightly disappointing on the draft horse front, although they are perfectly reasonable and look good. The speed horses did ok, and would be fine for short distance travel. For pure speed however, the win goes to the mules again!

EDIT Of course now I've posted this, put another crate in and put slightly worse gear on Cainetari, the draft horses decide to pull my cart at 20kph! On flat and bumpy terrain, unpaved. Go figure.

EDIT TO THE EDIT And now they've decided to go 23.04kph! On flat paved road this time. Clearly they didn't like my circuit. It's worth noting that the fastest I've seen my mule team go is 22kph. However my initial conclusion appears to still stand, although I don't yet have any 3 draft mules to test with.
