Posted April 28, 2021 (edited) The recent rclick mechanic of selecting "on ground" before pouring is just stupid. There is no alternative to pouring on ground (maybe a long gone or retired develope had intended further choices), so the "on ground" is useless carpal tunnel torture. And it would be handy to have a keybind POUR . Edited April 28, 2021 by Ekcin
Posted April 29, 2021 It was initially changed because of many misclicks. Forcing you to select "on ground" basically gives you a small shield to prevent you from misclicks. An improved suggestion might be to customize how such keybindings work. Some people could opt in for a more controlling feature, some could opt out.
Posted April 29, 2021 Pick up some dirt, right click on it. Map the 'as pile' option to a key. I have ctrl-d mapped to 'as pile' (this functions as drop on ground for most things) and alt-d mapped to drink. I occasionally make the mistake of using the wrong (ctl vs alt) one when trying to drink. This results in the liquid being poured on the ground.
