Old screenshots from 2009-2010

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow ladies and lords of Wurm!

Im searching for some old screenshots of early PVE settlements, preferrably from early Independence (2009-2010 ish).

If someone have screenshots from the early settlements (or "homesteads" as they were called) like Samling, Aegis, Xanadu, Merchant town, Randnar, Tiger, Three Bears, Northern Lights, Daevon, Novus Status etc. i would love to see them posted here.

Im not entirely aware of the updates between before and after Independence release, but if some of you oldies know if the "state" of wurm when it comes to buildings, fences, flora and fauna and if it was about the same before and right after Independence - id appreciate some screenshots from just before the opening of Independence also - from Home or Wild.

TLDR;

Im basically interested in any old screenshot, but what interests me the most is infrastructure, buildings, fences, trees, tile options, decorations and such from settlements era 2009-2010 ish.

If you have some, please post them here and mark with year (and date and location if you have).

Thanks!

Thanks a bunch - these are really helpful.

Do you know if all signs were red at that time? Also, what type of roof is that, thatch? I was under the impression that there were no roofs in the early days - do you know the story about this?

there were no actual roofs - you'd just get a visual roof that appeared when you finished the building

Signs were colorable by default they were wood textured.

Roof was default roof which was added automatically

Do you remember which wood type (im guessing it wasnt wood dependant)?

Wood type didn't matter, it was a very bright wood skin, similar to the catapult wood textures you can see in one pciture.

So maybe something like pine, or birch. Or even the now "worn" texture?

I don't think that was a realisitc texture. It was just a very bright wood type.
