Posted January 22, 2021 I have a lot of left over milk that I could turn into cheese or butter, but I already have more than I need of those as well. So while making wine I thought, why not let us ferment milk into yoghurt or kefir as well? Most cultures use fermented milk in some way or another. So different types of milk and woodshrap could result in different types of fermented milk. Which then could be used in other recipes or even as a new beverage like 'buttermilk'. This feature would be another way to gain dairy making skill, a way to use the milk and new cooking, hot food cooking & baking recipes to discover. Spoiler Recipes that come to mind are: - Cheese cake - Yoghurt & cereals for easy and healthy breakfasts - Cream cheese by applying the cheese drill on something like kefir - Buttermilk breadrolls - Yoghurt honey dressing - Kabak tatlisi & Kaymak - Tzatziki And this list could go on and on
Posted January 23, 2021 agreed. lets be honest... not all cheeses are pressed from milk... most are fermented cheese (and need to be placed in a stable environment. usualy cool enough to slowly ferment... like underground caves *winkwink* ) so this makes perfect sense, as a frogy that part about pressing milk into cheese always bugged me XD
