Posted January 10, 2021 A blind catseye is *not* ‘unfinished’ or ‘incomplete’, any more than a shaft is; it’s simply a sub-component necessary to make a catseye.

Posted January 11, 2021 (edited) It’s not a bug and it’s not broken. If you’re going to build a highway, you better read up first; there are lots of things that can catch you out, much more than you confusing a finished subcomponent for the final product. How about another example - a pickaxe head. Would you be here making demands that it be ‘fixed’ if you spent a lot of time imping the head only to find out you needed to attach it and likely lose the quality? No, you’d accept you made a mistake and move on. Two differences - one, the pickaxe head has a real world meaning and you’re not likely to confuse it for a pickaxe, while the blind catseye and catseye have no real world corollary. Two, if you do make the mistake, you’re likely to make it with just one pickaxe head before you realise you’re mistake, while with the blind catseye it seems you imp’d a lot before actually trying to plant one. Either way, reading up on the process and trying it out early, rather than making assumptions about unfamiliar items that exist only in Wurm, would’ve helped you avoid your wasting time. You’d get more headway if you didn’t come here angrily blaming the game for your mistakes and instead just made a suggestion or two on how it could be made less confusing for people who aren’t going to read up first. But calling a blind catseye ‘unfinished’ and wanting it to be treated as such won’t get my vote; I keep a stock of them in bsb.
