Map annotations gone after crossing server borders

A couple of weeks ago I went along as a passenger on a boat. On crossing the border from Deli to Xan I suddently found myself in the water and the ship was quite a distance away. Funny thing was that the person sailing the boat still saw me onboard.

This happend again on the way back from Xan to Deli.

When I checked my map after this incident all annotations where erased and they still are. I can't quite remember if the first time I checked the map was on Xan or back on Deli.
