Magical chest lumens boost test.

I discovered that if I place a light source on top of a magical chest the light source gains almost triple the brightness. The basis of the scientific method is repeatable results. I have tested this out in a few locations with different items. I was wondering if any of you would like to share your results as well. And maybe we can figure out what kind of voodoo is being done here. Looks like it works on Golden Altars as well.

Not quite sure what's responsible for the light increase - QL doesn't seem to be it. Size seems hopeful, maybe (I didn't have a whole lot of success with a dining table, but massive success with a scorpion hota, the best item I've found for it so far)

Edit: Further science: I tried a QL2 altar against QL90 - despite being further from the wall - so it seems that QL is it (there was very little difference between QL10 and QL60, so it's higher end)

This makes sense for the HotA, since it's QL99

It carries its own colour, and does not take any from what it's on top of
