Posted October 11, 2020 (edited) Simple really, these servers are not a good place to start for newbies especially since you refuse to fix the bug where kingdom animals will spawn globally without a kingdom and attack anyone they find (ignoring newbie aggro buff) making living on these servers without a boat/horse impossible for a newbie. Dozens of different named corpses pile up around the starter towns on chaos, probably quitting the game forever as they just die over and over without help due to the lack of other players in the template kingdoms/no players at all on epic, no tower guards to help on chaos, endless uniques to dunk them on epic. Remove their ability to spawn on these servers, or make it so they have to go out of their way to join it, like how you used to be forced to spawn on pve and use the pvp portal on the new servers. Posted October 13, 2020 Not to mention more negative steam reviews (wurm has quite a lot and it's sad) piling up and making potential players less inclined to play Wurm. It's annoying as hell to travel around Epic since you will 99% of the time : 1. Get chased by a unique. 2. Have a random unique monster (we got a champ forest giant on desertion, yay...) bash deeds everywhere. 3. Have hyenas/boars/gorillas kill guards everywhere and thus eliminating newbies protection....seriously guys it's stupid at this point. Just delete gorillas/hyenas/boars from Epic. Is it that hard? 4. Ask for help in chat or gchat and get cricket sounds. 5. No CA to help you there. Fun. Those things on Epic will most likely leave a negative experience on any new player. As i said years ago, leaving dead servers rotting in the open will actually do more harm for the game than good. Sad reality is this is the consequence of neglecting servers and issues that have been around for years. I am one of those vocal players that want fixes for Wurm before new features are launched. Posted October 13, 2020 Yes +1. Reality is that Epic is essentially dead, besides a few hardcore players . Any newbie who goes there is going to be a lost cause. Posted October 13, 2020 there is no reason for epic to exist anymore; it was a failed project. the refusal to announce they will do something about the dead server only shows that the devs are afraid to commit action to them and have no idea how to handle a server like that chaos can remain existing despite being dead simply because it'd be SFI's pvp server, whic his fine. +1 to no spawning directly on both considering how hostile the spawns are to new people Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
