New animals and monsters.

Recommended Posts

Gazelle

It runs away as soon as the player gets too close less than 10 tiles (something like reversed aggro). Combat can be triggered only with ranged weapon (no use for ranged weapons in PvE so far, so...) unless you are very lucky and very fast.
FS 30, faster than a wild horse, during combat chases the player for about 15 tiles from tile where the fight starts.
With less than 30% health the animal tries to escape, but in order not to be a mindless pursuit, the animal should run away in random direction, but in a circle of max 80 tiles from the place where the fight started.

It may be a seasonal animal that only appears in summer near deserts.

Leopard

Spawns in dense forests. FS 55, very fast, attacks the horse or other animals belonging to the player first. When he kills them and the player does not continue the fight, he stops attacking the player for several minutes and eats the body of animal. Its fur after processing fits into the cape or tabard slot.

Mammoth

A seasonal animal, it appears near the steppes in winter. FS 70-80, not aggressive. You can sew a tent from its skin. And the tusks can be cut and turned into jewelry. Ground into dust also serve as an ingredient in healing covers.

Irish elk
Spawns near swamps. FS 35. It only attacks players when they are traveling on horseback, carts or wagons.

Vulture
Spawns near unburied bodies. He eats them and stays nearby for a few hours, then flies away (disappears). FS 20, difficult to hunt, if it has less than 20% of health left, it starts to run away.

A troll huntress
Female troll with a bow and a pet white wolf. Huntress FS 40, wolf FS 15. First, she sends a wolf to fight, when his health is below 80%, she starts shooting a bow. Smaller than male counterparts, sometimes dropping metal shoulder straps. White wolf fur can be converted into a helmet. Equivalent to leather armor cap.

The saber-tooth tiger

Seasonal animal, it only appears in winter. FS 50. His bites have a 100% chance of inflicting a non-healing wound. His fur can be converted into a helmet with a damage reduction equal to the chain coif.

Turkey
It appears in meadows. FS 5. Its meat may be used in special recipes. It can be bred.

Nah, we've had enough of your northern animals - give us some antipodeans!

Some thylacoleo carnifex, wallaroos, wetas, cassowarries.  Emus and wedgies.

We could use a camel in game speed bonus on sand tiles, can carry more than a horse and can be used to craft a "camel train or Camel Caravan"

Train would be lead on foot and Caravan would be lead while on a Camel.

While we are at it some desert clothes would also be nice hehe

Adding more animal types doesn't make sense until the creature spawning and migration code is fixed.

These are independent topics, but if you create a thread with a description of how it works now and what is the problem with spawning and migration, I will gladly add my 3 coppers. There have been no problems with this in my area in the last few days.

+1 to more mobs. Would always be fun to have some other things to tame / slay. The only thing I would disagree with is the targeting of horses. On a side note the saber-tooth helmet would look amazing.

I like the Mammoth idea +1.

More large non-aggressive animals roaming the world could be cool.
