Change the global spell cast requirement before it's too late.

It was a mechanic that was already super-hated when we had way more servers and way less people.

Can you just imagine the sheer amount of drama and hate that is going to originate in such crowded servers as harmony?

It was already suggested multiple times for it to be changed in the old servers, where it was actually much easier to get it.

If someone actually manages to achieve it before you change it out of the desperation of everyone, he's just gonna be super-salty that he achieved such an hard thing for it to be just removed afterwards.

So yeah, just remove it before it even happens, change it with something else, 70prayer is mindnumbing but acceptable as an hard requirement, this is just going to be an extremely hard and frustrating lottery, if you leave it as it is.

meh, more ppl on server means rite favour pool regens way faster as more ppl pray/sermon. So to say 10 ppl on a server have the same chance to cast rite as 1000 ppl on another. first case they will have to work 100 times longer to get favour, second case they will have to be lucky to get involved into one of the 100 casts

That would still have ridiculous consequences if they don't change the mechanics around it in some way, because everyone will keep having 5hrs sleep bonus awarded and sleep powders will become as useful as sawdust

Also there might be a group of people that ninja-cast that everytime for the lulz (like it happened with way less people on old servers) preventing everyone from getting it, and they wouldn't even have to bother traveling on another server to do so

That's for gaining sleep bonus, that doesn't addrees the journal requirement at all

Between the journal requirement, the fact some peoples are ****s and the fact even more are ****s who only cares about themselves, something need to be done for sure.

 

In the best of worlds a global casts could be 11 players (90 channeling, 10 links)... it used to be the same player doing all the casts on all the servers, now it's just ninjaed as soon as it become available, often before the locals have time to organise themselves or before the planned one is casted.

 

So, yes, obvious +1 for a real fix to that issue.
