Make an exploring skill

Few other games have done this, but the introduction of a exploring skill should be useful to stimulate players to discover other parts of the amazing land of wurm.

Maybe this skill could increase with travelling distance with horses or boats, something easy to implement.

 

As you travel further away you gain exp and a knowledge of the world. Knowing how to recognize the north without a compass by looking at the night sky.

 

Maybe something to locate friendly settlements at a distance.

 

Know the height of the terrain or how far you are from the coast.

Maybe even linking it with archeology skill somehow. Finding random items in the sea and in the land.

It could be argued being able to tell north is already an exploring skill, but a skill of the player rather than the character they are playing.

I agree. All these are IRL human skills that happen as you get more familiar with areas/traveling. (recognizing landmarks)

Archaeology already accomplishes this without being a simple xp for distance.
