Referral inequality...referral through steam

As it is now if you buy a starter packet through steam ( 2 months and 5s ) you get a referral. If you buy that same packet off of wurmonline.com you do not.

 

Sending in a ticket for this results in a "we havent given referrals since march since premium is lower  priced"...

 

This does not change the fact that people who bought from wurmonline.com are being cheated currently. 

 

So what will you do to fix this or is this just another situation where loyal customers will just have to eat the loss or rather lack of a gain.

 

If people knew this was how it would be and a benefit for steam players it would be understandable... but it is just an unintended advantage that should be dealt with by given all people who bought the starter package a referral.

 

From that point when it is fixed on steam you could make it moving forward that no one gets referrals. This should be dealt with more fairly...

This is a big frustration, many players got referrals, many of us didn't, which means those who did got a free 20 days premium to sell for the exact same price that those of us who didn't get that, didn't. 

This should be easy to rectify. Give everyone who didn't get one, one, then fully disable the feature, instead of having this silly lottery system where maybe you get an extra 7s~ free, or you don't, when you subscribe.

There's no consistency to it. Some people who bought from WO.com got a referral, some didn't. Same with steam, same with starter packs.

Not only the referral some people are getting the 2s bonus also... its all over the place

hey everyone! We are aware of this issue, and while we're not sure how it happened, we will make it right.

 

Our first step will be correcting the bug that gives referrals then working out the best way to compensate those who were affected.

 

I would like to personally say thank you to everyone for your patience as we work through this. This steam launch has been absolutely massive in terms of numbers and we're working through the issues raised as quick as we can! Hopefully everything settles down soon and we can begin working on the next steps we will be taking with Wurm.
