Damn, I thought I have stated it but it doesn't matter which icons I click afterwards they won't appear again.

When putting a satchel on your tool belt and filling it with items, the icon fades. The icon is bright when empty. It does not show how many items are in the satchel. When activating the satchel when there are items inside of it, there is no indicator (turning green).

 

 

I have a delay up to 1 second due to high ping. When I right click to open a menu and hover my mouse over the intended action while refreshing is displayed at the bottom of the menu. The hovered effect will drop down to the next action. 

Example: If I right click my horse to disembark and mouse over disembark and wait for the menu to stop saying refreshing at the bottom. It will instead be displaying that I am moused over managed, and if i click it opens manage.

Surprised there is no one asking for hotbar for spells or actions like most other games .

Examine be handy and emotes , since the little icon for it is just not doing it ...

Any news on special moves for combat ? like were it shows up ?

All the submenu are going to put allot of players off , maybe hotbars can fix that issue ...

I have to say, what annoys me in the new UI is that the richt click menu doesn't close after clicking examine :o Is that supposed to be like that? Is there a way to turn that off?

Just a minor thing: I would like to have a blank line between numbers choice and send button in bulk move window. Maybe it is just me, but it is annoying to misclick, and the distance between the last numbers choice and send buttonseems even narrower than on the old client. A blank line would be really helpful.

1. There is no preview when using the golden mirror.

2. The X does not close the face customization window.

3. The face customization button sizes for the "ok" and "cancel" text is too small and cuts off the text.

What makes something qualify for the "repeat" action? Example:

 

I plant a tree sprout on a dirt tile. I then walk to a different set of dirt tiles, take out my shovel, and pack the dirt. I continue to pack the dirt but my buttons always stay the same. (F) dig, (R [repeat]) plant sprout. How is this supposed to work? Plant sprout isn't a valid action with a shovel, nor was it the last action I performed.

Feedback, so far (FWIW):

 

  1. Overall, it's much improved. It looks more polished and modern.
  2. Even at 90% UI Scale, while comparable to the old UI,  it's still "fat", making less information visible without obscuring more of the screen than in the old UI.
  3. Some windows (e.g., Crafting) don't collapse to the title bar when double-clicked. I will sorely miss that.
  4. I'm not seeing a visual cue for when I can bash or focus. Maybe I need to RTFM, but those cues in the old UI were more obvious.
  5. The ginormous "F" and "R" are quite jarring compared to the rest of the UI cues. Worse, since I already mapped those keys to other actions, they're useless cues. Can the UI hide those overlays if the keys are already mapped?

I suspect the goal was to "freshen" and "modernize" the UI. In that regard, I'd say you've hit the mark. Nothing above makes the game "unplayable." They're "quality-of-life" setbacks. They're the difference between "forcing" myself to use the new UI, and wanting to choose it.

 

Again, a HUGE thank you to @Samool! I hate doing UI design; it feels like an endless rabbit hole. Bless you for tackling it!

Really got to fix the mouse press area on the toolbelt in small size. Its pretty much quicker finding the item in your inventory nested in 3 containers and activate it in the time you spend hitting the right little tiny spot on lower corner.

Alright, so the Face Customization window was already posted a few posts earlier, but I do have another problem than the empty window there as well:

The Text is cut off, no matter what scaling I use. Also it feels like all the buttons there are rather small and difficult to click at.

The screenshot is done with 110% UI scale.

At the same time I see so many people posting the crafting window with cut off text, and that one is fine for me. That's weird. Has anyone actually figured out when something gets cut off? I'm using Windowed Fullscreen with a resolution of 1680 x 1050 if that helps narrow down the issue.

minor one but still makes me twitch : the background when you bring up the character window shifts slightly when you switch between 'show wounds' and 'show player'

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but was getting really bad fps with the preview client at the imp'along - the current client was giving me 60fps, but the preview client with the same settings I was only getting 1fps!

  • Special moves do not show up for me in the fighting window. I see the blank blocks at the bottom and assume that's where they are suppose to show up?
  • Shield bash should be greyed out or something if no shield equipped
  • No indication of when shield bash is available again after used (cooldown)
  • Not sure if it's intended or not but the background for the pop up screens in some places are blocky

Can you post your console.log file? I can't seem to reproduce this blocky issue with the same UI scale setting, must be something else to it.

Small update out now, with another one to come this week still.

Not sure if it's been reported but the Fighting window and the Target window regardless you dock them or hide them they always pop back when you get attack or attack something and you have to hide or dock them again and separate the two of them if you don't want them together (unless it's intended to be that way).

 

Another issue the Rift was opened today (I wasn't at the Rift) and I did not see the red bar showing the Rift was in progress.  Someone told me it was located under the missions bar but I even partook in a mission and seen all missions and progress but no warning of a Rift.  I only knew the rift was done because of the message

Hopefully hovering over items gets an option to be toggled off, it can be difficult to manage the inventory

Right click menu is also really big compared to the "old" compact one;

That's 1/5 the size of this

Would be nice if everything above the line could be toggled off as well, as some people suggested already; starting off with Examine like how it is currently

Target window seems really big as well (90% scaling), and hides most of the screen alone (Doesn't seem to like smaller resolutions?)

Allowing combat elements to detach and having the "old", "toggle size" option would fix the issue

On screen text from double click examine actions  centres upon the item clicked it seems, so if you double click on something towards the edge of screen, the text pop up on screen is partially off screen and cannot be read. It also appears at a layer height that is behind any open windows / tabs so it is also obscured by them.

Didn't read trough all of this thread so maybe it was mentioned before...

Started using new UI yesterday, as it is now default UI and 2 things I noticed and would like to change:

1. Shield bash icon should be greyed out when shield bash is not ready

2. Focus icon should be grayed out if you cannot focus at that time.
