Posted June 11, 2020 The wiki has a table illustrating def values of armor. As an example, leather is said to have a base damage reduction of 60% (though I believe this is assuming a QL100 value). Ref: https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Armour Then there is a QL curve applied to armor that increases it's effective QL up to QL 70 Ref: https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Quality_level So for example. If my leather armor has a QL of 30, then it has an effective QL of 50.4 Meanwhile, there is a great 3rd party app by Warlander that will calculate the def values of armor based on QL level. But I noticed that this tool only shows a max of 50% for leather at QL100. I also noticed that the def values for Epic were different. Ref: https://warlander.github.io/Wurm-Toolbox/#armor-calc 1. Is the Armor calculator up-to-date? I.E. is max base damage reduction 50%, or 60%? 2. Can anyone verify that armor def values based on QL truly different for Freedom vs Epic? 3. Assuming the calculator is out of date, does anyone have an updated calculator? Or know the math? 4. Is there something else I'm missing here in determining reduction values? Posted June 11, 2020 (edited) in your first link, just below the damage base reduction table, there is another table -. every armour type has its own properties like certain type of damage weakness or resistance plus different rate of glances.. Iv no idea how that calculator does the math, but in reality those armour values are not fixed rate.. it varies depending and its complicated. Freedom and epic armour values are the same, however, epic has a curve applied all the way to 100. so 90 ql armour on freedom is 90 ql, 90 ql on epic is 99 ql effective so the stats are bit better if you compare same ql item Edited June 11, 2020 by Skatyna Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
