Posted June 9, 2020 I don't know whether it has any negative connotations since it is different than a "Like", or if it is just a playful alternative. 1

Posted June 9, 2020 I am so glad you have asked this Brash_Endeavours and that its purpose has now been clarified by Nicrolis. In some parts of the N of England if someone does not like something or thinks it is rubbish they still say, 'that is cat'. I just thought it gave the opportunity for someone to say that they were against the idea or suggestion. This all shows how easily misunderstanding can come about!
Posted June 9, 2020 It was added as a reaction for times when 'like' isn't quite what you're going for. In terms of reactions, it's neutral (because cats are so inscrutable).
