the invisible cucumber

while I was farming, I noticed that the cucumber field is not visible.

so I was think may be it is early for it to be visible, still sprouting, I waited two real days, but it is still invisible even though the cucumber is halfway ripe.

to make it more puzzling I find that my pumpkin field visible.

 

so I was thinking is it just a problem from my setting or is it a bug?

I would also add that there are other fields that have the same problem.(garlic, rye, potato)

as I have some problem with inserting image, I linked the screenshot of  the cucumber field and the pumpkin field.

Old driver (5/19/2016) on an aging weak intel chipset  (February 2011) so probably nothing you can do to get a newer driver, that's probably the most recent one ever made for that chip.

 

Is this a desktop or a laptop? If it is a laptop, is there any chance it also has a second dedicated gaming graphics chip, NVidia or Radeon? Often the drivers do not recognize JAVA programs as anything other than home/office apps, and switch to battery saving mode with the weaker intel graphics. This happens a lot with Wurm laptop users.  Let me know if you suspect it may have NVidia/ATI along with the intel graphics and we can walk you through how to get it to recognize using the gaming card's graphics control panel. Otherwise, laptops are not usually upgradeable on graphics cards and you may be lucky if this is the biggest graphical glitch in the game.

 

If it is a desktop, probably an older one with a weak PSU and not a lot of upgrade potential, you might still be able to add a $25 secondhand graphics card that solves the issue for you. You have to be careful to check it is compatible not just with card slot, power supply, but also with the computer BIOS, but something like a NVidia GT 730 is usually cheap, compatible with old systems and weak power supplies. It is not a great card but better than an Intel HD 3000, and should improve all kinds of performance and visual issues with the game.  You really do not want to sink for anything much fancier than that on a very old system. We might need your exact computer model if you want information on whether this is a smart idea for your specific system. 

 

 

Some people occasionally solve glitches with older intel graphics, by turning off GLSL under the game launcher COMPATABILITY tab, which also sometimes improves performance, but it can also sometimes cause other, different visual glitches. 

 

Perhaps one of the devs might have better advice, I am not too familiar with the more recent WO clients and how they fare with older intel chipsets.

 

Once your farming level is higher, a mouseover should tell you when the tile is ripe, needs tending, etc even if you cannot see the actual plants. Try also EXAMINE on the time for clues on its status, usually you need a few levels in Farming to get the text clues.

 

Otherwise maybe mostly stick to Pumpkin, Cotton & Wemp as those are good all purpose starter crops that may be less prone to issues.

first, I have no problem farming as I have the skill high enough to examine the fields.

what I find a little weird is this is that this happen only this week as I have never have such problem.

and for what u ask this is a laptop and I dont have a graphic carte for it as I did not find a compatible one .

I reproduced this on test with GLSL set to disabled in the compatibility tab.

 

Are you able to set that to CORE and see what happens?
