Issues traveling cross-server

Greetings everyone involved \0/

 

Ingame nickname MornieOhtar. Was delivering order, traveling cross-server to save some time. Upon second jump, game crushed and I'm unable to log back in - once my ship becomes visible upon login, game crushes again.

OS: Ubuntu 20.04 beta

Posted on this board, as most of threads with similar stacktraces was here

Most apropriate will be Client issues or Server issues. Will be glad to help diagnose this situation, if needed.

Moved to client bugs.

 

MornieOhtar - create a new character so that you can log into the game.  With that character, do a /support and open a ticket so that you can get some help in game that may allow you to at least log in while your issue is looked into.  You can copy a link to this post in the ticket so that the team knows you've posted about it already.

Erm... Yes, sorry, forgot to update this post. I have an alt toon, MornieHeru, used him to do exactly what you're offering 😃

 

I made support ticket, #431729, and got help from GM Astarte same day as original post.

 

Yet, issue is still here.

Some updates:

 

Client was crushing constantly the moment I log in, until GM moved toon a bit. After several failures I was able to log in, yet trying to look at shore caused crush again (log is same as in first post). Was able to leave Exo looking to the sea constantly.

 

Same crushes repeated coming close to the deed at F9, with lot of collossuses. Thanks to Astarte, moving my toon with his ship away and turning a bit made me able to log in and keep playing.

 

Same crushes in some like an hour later, leaving bay at F9, near guard tower. Managed to get away on my own - was facing open sea, not on deed => 1 minute logoff timer and 3-4 crushes allowed me to leave 'cursed spot'.

 

My notes and considerations:

1. Deed size doesn't matter (removes possibility for videocard not being able to handle it) - Exo deed was small, last crush I haven't noticed any deed; Same for Guard Towers, HoTAs (have them near my deed), not sure on colossuses or other uniques; 

2. All crushes was prepended by missing texture data in the log;

3. Turning away from tile/object, that causes issue makes me able to log in and play again;

4. Tried forcing reload of graphics pack (manually removing files after reboot), no changes;

5. Tried lowering details in settings of everything, like FoV, LoD, shadows, reflections, texture size, going fullscreen, making small windows/resolution/fps, adding/removing visual depth etc, no changes;

6. Once problematic object leaves my FoV, toon is alive again) On second crush set, at F9 and colossuses, there was other toons (not mine) and they was fine;

 

My PC:

Ubuntu 20.04

Intel Core i7 4790k

ATI Radeon 7790 with 2 Gb RAM

 

Can provide crash dumps, settings dumps, any system info required.
