Cold forges counting as lit

Recommended Posts

Forge was lit to heat up some food, used a kindling, let it completely burn and extinguish on its own.

Somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes later, I wanted to clean the forge and get the ash. Then I made booboo.

Forge was cold, items inside were cold, examine said it was not lit, attempting to clean it resulted in burns!

Ouch?

Can you use flint&steel on it to snuff it?

Could be a timer to cool-down before making it available to collect ash from it.

If not you've found a bug D :

this happens when it just got cold enough to not have a fire anymore, presumably the forges temp is still too high to be considered snuffed though so it needs a tad longer

Indeed, except the fact that, on examine, it says the forge is not lit, and all the items inside: tools, backpacks, food etc are cold, but when trying to clean it, it says is lit.

Reproduced on test and we had this happen on live, but it was more like 5 minutes.

Examine says not lit.

Fire disappears a minute later.

Cannot clean for 5 more minutes.

The same thing would happen if you try to clean your oven the minute you turn it off.

If you snuff, the temp immediately goes down to the 'clean' temperature.

I'll add it to the list just because it's a bit confusing.
