Hitching Post QOL change

Recommended Posts

Allow us to just drag food to the hitching post to put it in the trough without needing to open it and put food in the trough directly.  It's already a thing with tackleboxes, which is far more complicated with subgroups than the hitching post is.  (could be useful for other items as well)

would like the same behaviour with stills. Also on storage units, just put it in the first shelf.

What I would like would be to pull over 100 ore to my smelter instead of a (in my case) 10 per time.

It get extra tedious with that mouse spinning "feature".

Specially when you have like a few 1000s ore to smelt.

Hm. I always drag 100 ores to a smelter from piles on the ground. I prefer to have a smelter close to the vein, to be able to pile up several piles of 100 ore around me before lighting the smelter. Usually I use only 1 kindling for 5 times smelting a pile of 100 ore.

Might it be that you are taking the stuff out of bulk containers? I guess so. In that case I tend to agree that it should be possible (if implementable with reasonable effort) that a bulk container treats the smelter like another bulk container allowing to fill it up to max capacity. The 10 per time are your load capacity, depending on your total inv and armour weight, determining the number of items transferred at a time.
