Who do you think it's okay for? Epic players are constantly complaining over the lack of a skill transfer. If the amount of complaining now seems that much higher to you, that's only because there are barely any epic players left to complain about it.

Honestly?  I think epic should transfer to freedom and vice versa.

If epic worked as designed, it would be high risk to high reward.  Such risk should be universally rewarded.

Honestly? What risk is to grind skill on highly protected deed?

Mailing corpses home is a great way to unload them from your inventory, and avoid filling your weight limit with butchered items if you don't have a cart with you.

Didn't all active transfer to freedom when they could?

Didn't 50%+ sell instantly and leave the game for good as well?

What did we learn from the talks about that and what happened?

Should we do it again?

Should we expect anything different to happen?

hmm so many questions, can we easily guess the answers with higher than 50% accuracy?

1.) AFAIK not everyone used the transfer, and even among those that did a few were still complaining about the raw deal they were handed, and rightfully so. When I say "epic players who complain about it", that includes those that resentfully took the rescue line to freedom rather than quitting for good. Again, I don't blame them at all

2.) I don't know, but you're insinuating they did. Which just further bolsters the sentiment that this isn't a desirable situation.

3-5.) should it just not be discussed because nothing came of a similar scenario last time? I seriously struggle to understand what you're even trying to get at here. All I asked is where Gary gets the idea from that Freedomers universally or generally condoned Epic players getting only a once in a lifetime rescue from a dying/dead cluster without any attempt to make said cluster appealing in any way, with a two way transfer for instance.

Jackal is a hard pill to swallow with its total loss of *all* positive progress that has been made there as stated (wiped after aprox 6 months). Any objections to this or "compensations" expected for playing there just prove the point that the game is about retaining your progress in its various offered opportunities. In this respect many come to the conclusion that they are just wasting their time there since it contributes so little to their main game; thus they abandon it to its fate and return home seemingly disappointed with the experience.

Better to just make a Jackal style "Hunting Server" and let players portal there through the current Jackal Lodestone system, returning home the same way after time spent there. Not going into any details about it here but I would say that it would be a much better option for the current players and even those to come. It could even be a feature exclusive to the original WO and not available to the coming Steam version, which would be another draw for players into the current servers.

Question now is.. what could force or.... GIVE A REASON for players to return there, what benefits could lure them back, and what could be tweaked to make it work and worth the time and effort.

Game just needs right 'carrot' to lead all back in the fight against the demonic bunnies. Spicing things with new events, rewards...

What else is there to do.. grind niarja stp and bake campfire shrooms 😕... well and everything else that people do, I chat and grind, and randomly do random things to entertain myself.

Pretty much this; at the moment Jackal skill transfers offer nothing worth going over there for.

Transfer of skill could be mid or near-'end-season' reward.. than there could be a push to the end to get something more just before the end, pretty good strategy.. if there's something more to be gained it will keep the interest to be around.

Something like.. checkpoints.. to get points from beacons etc.. and lock inbetween so you can still do the events and all but not get too much, soft-cap in other words or a hard cap of the jackal points.. assuring your interest to show up and play there often, not fully.. but frequently enough to keep the place alive and players happy with the progression.

Moving from freedom/epic to jackal just to do the events? NOTHING BAD IN THAT, as "whole point of jackal is to be a place to vent and kick some bunny ass for rewards."(last part is unconfirmed.. you can not hold me responsible for the written text).

The exact skill transfer is still under discussion - it clearly had some bugs the first time around.

Oh then we should ask for ridiculous ###### in order to get a decent transfer rate, so here goes:

Freedom has 90ql tools at 90+ enchants so they are de facto getting 1.9x of the baseline xp of the server. Now add the fact that you can get high ql affinity food and you have 2x. Right?

And that is before they pop sleep bonus too. How much xp are they getting now?  And let us not forget how easy it is to get a crapsack or use your med fill/refresh to hit 99% nutrition while it takes 2-3 months to get that med path perk on jackal if you are willing to grind meditation there again.

Meanwhile you use sb on Jackal too but end up getting what? 10% of the baseline 1x of freedom? GG:)

On jackal you start with 0 skill 0 gear and 0 enchants. So it takes 1-2 months just to be able to have 50 coc on 50ql tools for the average joe.

There are no thousands of 80+ql veggies to be bought for a silver to sac like on freedom and cast your heart out. There are no roads, canals or highways to quickly move bulk stuff around.

So if you are gonna make skill transfer be poop then we want:

- permanent sleep bonus on jackal:)

- a random event in freedom chat where every 30m a CA picks a jackal player and shouts that said player is the sexiest man alive.

- if we play on jackal and we trip and fall on our face we want to gain atleast 5 fight skill from it.

- sea serpents on freedom cluster should swallow some random farmer on there then tp on to jackal and blurp him out in the ocean bay of camp freedom so we can watch him drown:)

- we should be able to use a normal rope to tie a hell hound on to a tree then poke it with a 1ql shaft like a pinata to make it drop 90ql coal.

- if you have to stop randomly for more than 2m because alt+tab then the tile you are sitting on should  auto transform in enchanted grass.

- when you reach 30 faith your toon should become a  champion of that deity and be able to imp and cast spells. I mean we are struggling on Jackal in order to save Wurm so we are champions of the cause and of our deities.

- meditation carpets should be flying mounts.

Another solution would be if we get to keep the xp that does not transfer on freedom for the next jackal.
