Give Cleanse/Humid Drizzle variable range like Wild Growth

Wild Growth currently has a minimum range of 1 tile (3x3 centered on player), with greater range for higher casting power and links with more priests.

 

Why not have Cleanse and Humid Drizzle act the same way? Otherwise, they don't really benefit from higher spell power or Channeling skill, especially since they succeed even if you "fail" the skill check.

I can't speak for cleanse but why nerf humid drizzle just for the sake of making power/skill/links matter? 

 

If you want power/skill to matter then add some other bonus to humid drizzle.  Like some % chance that pregnant animals will have some tiny amount of time taken off pregnancy, or a chance that milkable animals will provide greater amounts of milk once after the cast, or some other silly things like that.

In what way is "higher range at higher spell power" a nerf? I'm confused.

EDIT: I'm not suggesting the DEFAULT range for these spells should be lowered, just that more spell power/links should increase the range.

 

More effects are a good idea, though!

Cleanse:

  • Chance to spawn flowers increasing with spell power
  • Grass length increasing with spell power

Humid Drizzle:

  • Making sheep/rams shearable again at higher spell power
  • Chance to eliminate breeding cooldown increasing with spellr power
  • Chance to feed animals increasing with spell power
