Posted July 28, 2019 Barrels (and wine barrels too) get noticeable decay on deed if stored on racks. Same barrels are fine without any decay if just left on the ground.
Posted July 28, 2019 Decor items inside other containers always have decay, same as if you put a barrel in a cart or a barrel in a raft on deed. Sealed barrels in the racks will not have any decay though.
Posted July 28, 2019 In this case it goes against the purpose of the barrel rack ie. to store barrels more conveniently and tidy - also I consider barrels are not decor items but containers. Crates in crate racks do not decay - barrels should behave the same as the racks serve the very same purpose.
Posted July 28, 2019 Crates in crate racks do decay. This is intended as the barrel is not being used as a decoration. It is not meant as decay free storage
Posted July 28, 2019 (edited) So that means we should still better just litter the floor with the barrels. They do not decay on deed that way. EDIT: or at least I do not notice any decay on them for months - unlike on barrel racks where they poof within months if not repaired and not real high ql.
