Posted July 9, 2019 This week we’ll be introducing a new, native launcher for Wurm Online. As is the case every couple of years, due to certificate renewal the current JNLPs and shortcuts are going to break this week, but now in addition to the JNLP, we are releasing native executable files for Windows and Linux, with a Mac version following later in the month. As previously mentioned, this gives you a way to just install the game like you do with any other application, and not worry about installing the correct version of Java and such – the launcher will now detect and download the version you need. Planned release day of the launcher changes is this Thursday, 11th July 2019. The download links + instructions for the new launcher, as well as the fixed JNLPs, will be put both in this post and on the Wurm Online website. Watch the date – the current Wurm installs are going to break at that same time. The post WSA: Wurm Online Launcher changes appeared first on Wurm Online.
Posted July 10, 2019 Is there a list of requirements for the new launcher, or will there be a way for Linux users to compile their own if necessary? I am still on Fedora 25 and have issues with programs designed for newer releases. Will we still be able to use the Java launcher if we need to? Thanks! -Sorien
