Are there any plans for allowing artists to mod too?

I mean I would love to experiment and add some new visuals but the wall - not necessarily code itself, but knowing how to navigate, compile, which environment, libraries, dependencies, how to run etc. - is so huge that its barely achievable without profession experience.

Unfortunately only a few people have managed to add/change models/textures for the game and there isn't really a "how to" for how they managed it.

The game uses .dae (collada) models, that's about all I can help you with.

I'd suggest making an actual model.dae (collada) and then ask in the modding forum how you would go about getting it into the game.

Thank you for response guys! Good to know its using collada. Tbh model is just a tip of the iceberg, as I'm more interested in particle system and playing with shaders, and somehow preview it in game.
