No it's a aggressive creature, I have crocs I haven't fed in months that are alive.

I c ur point. I think thats glitchy then. I had champ brown and black bears which where cared for and dyed of starvation. But I also got other champ mobs that arent feed for months and are still fat. Wasnt even sure what to think of that. But every time I c one starving I just feed em all...

Cared for does not prevent death by starvation.  You do have to feed it.

 

If you have other agro creatures NOT dying of starvation, maybe that's the bug you should report.
