Mountains with snow all year?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of any mountains in Xanadu where there is snow all year round?

Darn!  Snowballs are a quick way for noobs to get their first settlement money.  Well, back to selling iron lumps.

Heights over (insert random high number here) 8000 should have permanent snow...

Perma-snow  would be great.  If they do give us that, it would be great to be able to mount skiis on our carts so we could drag them more easily over the snow like sleds, and large carts would become larger sleds drawn by animals.  The skiis would be removable for when we come down out of the mountains.

Maybe even allow us to craft skiis for our characters so we could move across snowy mountain terrain more quickly.  Would be great for players who build settlements or bases at high altitudes with perma-snow.

There's a mod on Wurm Unlimited that has this. Revenant server you can go and see locations where there's snow because of altitude. Its pretty cool. I don't know why is not a thing in Wurm Online.

So yes, it is possible, and its pretty darn amazing.

Sounds good, Angelklaine.  I'm going to get Unlimited one day, and try to tinker with custom settings.  Maybe I'll make a map with nothing but a winter wonderland, like the ice age or something like that, with very tough survival needs.  Like Siberia or something!

Would be nice if we could add mammoths and saber-toothed tigers too, where you have to team up with other players in order to take them down.  Like a prehistoric hunt.  We'd be able to craft spears too, which we could chuck at them like javelins.
